5 Must Visit Spots When Visiting Washington State

We visited our dream state, Washington, where the trees towered over us for miles and the mountains called us in. We spent a week forest bathing, feeling the sea breeze on our skin, and basking in the beauty of the Olympic Mountains.

We had talked about this trip for so long, wishfully speaking it into existence each time we brought it up. There was an all knowing that we’d feel at home there before ever stepping foot off the plane, but actually being there was even better than what we had dreamed up.

It’s a lot different than our home state, Ohio. We’re surrounded by cornfields here.

We actively seek out the beauty that resides in our state, because it does exist, but you have to really look for it. Which is entirely different than the Pacific Northwest; it’s like the wildlife encompasses you there.

The air filled our lungs differently.

The sky felt larger.

Hoh Rainforest, Hall of Mosses trees, sunlight, and scenery. Washington State destination. Must visit
  • Hoh Rainforest

This spot is a real life enchanted forest. It’s incredible and absolutely dream worthy. This gorgeous spot offers the perfect view of the Olympic Mountains. It’s ideal for the hiker or someone that just wants to take it easy, offering trails to hike on or a spot to stop and view the mountains at the Visitor Center.

There are separate hikes here: Sol Duc Falls, 5-Mile Island, and the Hall of Mosses and I truly recommend all of them. I captured the picture above from The Hall Of Mosses. There are moss covered trees that tower over you and cute, little critters running about if you look closely.

Absolutely go and check it out for yourself. Take your time, be present in just one of Earth’s gifts, and breathe it all in.

Hurricane Ridge is a must visit destination in Washington State, beautiful mountain view. Sunlight sweeping across the mountains
  • Hurricane Ridge

This gorgeous spot offers the perfect view of the Olympic Mountains. It’s ideal for the hiker or someone that just wants to take it easy, offering trails to hike on or a spot to stop and view the moutains at the Visitor Center.

Hurricane Ridge is also local to Port Angeles, which is a cute town that we stopped in to have a picnic at their local Waterfront Park. It was relaxing and right on the water. Port Angeles would be a perfect middle ground for you to stop in to catch a ferry ride, enjoy a picnic, or reside in for your vacation if you booked a lodge.

  • Rattlesnake Lake

This was a picturesque mountain lake. We spent hours here- reading, listening to music, and soaking up the sun rays. There’s so much potential at this spot; whether you decide to go biking, hiking, swimming in the pristine spring water, boating, having an aesthetic picnic, or even just exploring the area by walking around aimlessly. This spot is wholeheartedly worth a visit!

Snoqualmie Falls, perfect Washington State destination for a great waterfall view and hike
  • Snoqualmie Falls

This is one of the most popular waterfalls in the area, and for good reason. The hike to see the falls is great for beginners and there are additional trails if you’re looking for something a bit more challenging. The view itself is a sight to behold, it’s a sacred waterfall that has a rich history with the Snoqualmie Tribe.

Ruby Beach, perfect Washington State destination for pristine and moody views of the ocean, rock hunting, and surreal mountains.
  • Ruby Beach

This place had a vibe only the West Coast could pull off. Mist was falling from the sky, pebbles, stones, and unique driftwood was scattered on the sand, and waves were crashing beautifully. This place is a must visit.

It’s only one of very many beaches that you should check out while you’re in the area; don’t be afraid to pull off to check out all of the scenic, unnamed stops you’ll stumble upon along the way. There are sea urchins, shells, and sea otters to be found!

We’ve sown a sacred space for growth, separately and together, focusing on rising into our divine femininity and masculinity. While working to overcome the traumas we endured at young ages, we immersed ourselves in nature, discovering how the elements can assist in our mending. We postured our minds to healing through multiple forms of meditation, worked to integrate our shadows, and found new lifestyle habits that have led us to become the people that we are today; open hearted with a drive to spew love and the wisdom we have learned along the way. With bliss and health, we are stepping forward authentically into this space to share what has worked for us, in hopes of providing you and the souls around us with the same level of healing and rejuvenation.
